Sensory Therapies And Research: The STAR Center offers comprehensive sensory-based services for clients and families living with Sensory Processing Disorders, ADD and ADHD, autistic spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, emotional and behavioral disorders, sensory-based learning disabilities, and other developmental issues.

Boulder Counseling Cooperative: A referral service for lower-middle income clients looking for licensed therapists in the Boulder community.

Up to Parents: This is a free, confidential and interactive website for divorcing, divorced, or never-married parents. Full of resources. Practical.

Child and Family Advocacy Center: (Blue Sky Bridge) Facilitates a collaborative approach to child abuse investigation while providing the victims and their families with support through intervention, education, and advocacy in a safe and child-focused environment.

Boulder Valley Women’s Health: This service provides comprehensive women’s health, education, and advocacy.

Planned Parenthood: Provides sexual and reproductive health care and advocacy.

Moving to End Sexual Assault: (MESA) Believing that every person has the right to live free of sexual assault, MESA counselors can provide information regarding medical support, support through the criminal justice system, and individual/group therapy on a sliding scale.

Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence: (SPAN) This human rights organization is committed to ending violence against adults, youth, and children through support, advocacy, education, and community organization.

Boulder Interdisciplinary Committee: This multi-disciplinary professional group promotes the understanding of legal and psychological issues related to parental responsibility. Members include mental health therapists, attorneys, mediators, child/family investigators, and supervised visitation providers.

Boulder Institute for Psychotherapy and Research: This organization provides affordable mental health services to children-adults, clinical training, school consultation, and psychological assessment/testing. The Front Porch lectures offer professional gatherings taught by leading researchers and clinicians in attachment, neuropsychobiology, and clinical application.

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute: Offers professional trainings in somatic psychotherapy, the treatment of trauma, and neurobiological development. Focus is on bodily-based behaviors, affects, and cognitions, and psychodynamics.

Psychology Today: The “Therapist Finder” links therapists in the community with those seeking counseling.

Department of Regulatory Agencies: (DORA) This Colorado State licensing body can verify a therapist’s license status and disciplinary history, and provides information about clients’ rights as consumers of mental health services.

Adult Protection: The Boulder County department staff investigates reports of abuse, neglect, including self-neglect, financial exploitation, or abandonment of at-risk adults.

Community Action Programs: CAP is an advocacy organization and offers Latino parent involvement, Latino youth life skills, citizenship classes, and personal investment enterprises.

Parent Engagement Network: The network, focused on parents with children enrolled in the Boulder Valley School District, promotes active volunteerism and partnership with parents, community members, businesses, and agencies. Volunteers work in the school during the school day and serve on school decision-making teams.

Community Justice Services: The Community Services Division provides bond assessments, pretrial supervision, and preventative programs to youths and adults who are involved with the courts. Division personnel also provide specialized services to incarcerated individuals. The division coordinates and monitors services provided by vendors to the court-involved population.

Healthy Youth Alliance: This coalition of community partnerships and Boulder Co. wide agencies promotes health decision-making in youth and families.

Youth Services Initiative: The mission of this Boulder Parks & Recreation program provides after school and summer programming for youth from low income families the opportunities and resources necessary to make positive recreational, educational, and life choices.

I Have a Dream Foundation: The organization’s mission is to motivate and empower children from low income communities to reach their educational and career goals by providing a long-term intervention program of mentoring, tutoring, and cultural enrichment. High school graduation can lead to college scholarship and tuition aid.

Boulder Housing Partners: Provides housing assistance through five programs; fosters a sense of community; and advocates for the permanence of affordability for its clients and the community.

Veterans Services: This service develops and submits claims for benefits to the Dept. of Veterans.

Volunteer Initiatives: This portal offers information and promotes, enhances, and celebrates volunteer opportunities within Boulder County.

Workforce Boulder County: This great resource is a one-stop career center providing employment and training services for all job seekers and employers through a variety of programs. Offers workshops, access to computers, a large data base.

Colorado Anti-Violence Project: The project is dedicated to eliminating violence within and against the LGBTQ communities in CO and providing the highest quality services to survivors.

Bias Incident Hotline: Community project dedicated to assisting those who have experienced or witnessed bias-motivated incidents and crimes. Provides phone support (720-936-0555), resources, and advocacy.

Boulder Protective Order Clinic:In partnership with the community, the clinic provides services that enhance quality of life, support and protect Boulder County’s diverse community, and promotes economic independence and self-sufficiency.

The Mediation Place: Located in Longmont, CO, this service provides mediation services at low cost or donation.

Colorado Office of Dispute Resolution: Offers reduced fee mediation based on income qualifications.

Boulder Addiction Recovery Centers: Offers a wide-range of services including intensive, teen, DUI, outpatient adult, and specialized women’s services to the recovering person and to his/her family.

Al-Anon: Colorado and national information about meetings and services, plus literature.

El Comite de Longmont: This organization offers parenting programs for Latino families.

Asian Pacific Development Center: The center is committed to providing culturally appropriate health, mental health, and many related services to the Asian American Pacific Islander community. Locations in Denver, Aurora, and CO Springs.

National Alliance on Mental Illness: (NAMI/Boulder County) This is a non-profit, self-help, support and advocacy organization of people with mental illness, and families and friends of people with mental illness.

HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties: Provides care for everyone facing a terminal illness, grieving a loss, and education about death and dying. Sponsors a weekend grief camp for children and teens.
