Services & Fees…
After a free, 20-minute phone consultation, if we feel that working together could be helpful, we’ll schedule your initial appointment. I see most individual clients on a weekly basis for 50-minute sessions. I’m certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), for which I schedule initial 90-minute sessions. The initial session for a couple is two hours and one-and-one-half hour appointments thereafter. Most insurances will cover only 50- or 60-minute sessions, so clients are responsible for any additional fees pro-rated at $130/hour.
In addition to in-person appointments at my Boulder office, I offer appointments via Skype or Facetime, phone, or in special circumstances, in your home.
What will it cost? $130 per 50-minute session. Other services, for example, preparing reports and letters, will be prorated at the rate of $150/hour. Preparation for and testifying in court will be at the rate of $300/hour. I will require a retainer.
I am an in-network provider for insurances and EAPs including Aetna, AmeriBen, Cascade, Cigna, Cofinity, ComPsych, Concern, Deer Oaks, Great West, Health Advocates, KEPRO (APS Healthcare), LifeSolutions, LifeSynch, Multiplan, Network Advantage, Optum, United Behavioral Health, Value Options, Workplace Options, and Crime Victims Compensation. Also, if my practice is not one that is in-network, your insurance may pay a significant percent of out-of-network charges. With the fast-changing insurance markets, it’s best if you check directly with your insurance company and specific plan before your initial appointment. Ask about the following: your outpatient mental health benefits; whether I’m an in- or out-of-network provider; the percentage the insurance company will pay if you see an in-network vs out-of-network provider; the amount of your deductible and balance remaining; and the amount of your co-pay. I will prepare a monthly statement for you to submit directly to your insurance company or, in some cases, I will bill your insurance directly. I accept Crime Victims Compensation. Payment must be received in full for each appointment if you are paying privately without using insurance, or please pay your co-pay at each appointment. Payment may be made by cash or check. I do not accept credit cards.
